SNLE Q&A Bank — Question Format & Coverage

The SNLE exam itself is 200 single-best-answer MCQs delivered in 240 minutes by Prometric under the authority of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Every question in the Phoenix RN SNLE Q&A bank uses the same format: a short clinical stem, four options and one best answer, with a written explanation that references the underlying rationale rather than repeating the answer choice.

The 6,000+ questions in the bank are tagged to the SNLE syllabus in the same proportions Prometric uses on the live paper. That means when you practise, your mix looks like this:

    • Medical-Surgical Nursing — 30% of the bank, covering Cardio-respiratory, Neurology & stroke, Renal & fluid balance and more.
    • Fundamentals & Safety — 15% of the bank, covering Infection control (KSA MoH), Medication safety — Do-Not-Use list, Fall prevention and more.
    • Pharmacology — 13% of the bank, covering Antibiotics & resistance, Anticoagulants, Analgesics & PCA and more.
    • Maternal-Child Health — 10% of the bank, covering Antenatal screening, Labour management, Neonatal jaundice and more.
    • Paediatric Nursing — 9% of the bank, covering Growth milestones, Common infections, Paediatric emergencies.
    • Mental Health — 8% of the bank, covering Cultural considerations in KSA, Anxiety & depression, Substance abuse.

    Most-Recalled SNLE Question Themes

Phoenix RN debriefs SNLE candidates after every attempt and feeds the recall back into the Q&A bank. The themes that show up most often on recent SNLE papers are grouped below — expect two or three MCQs from each in a typical sitting.

    Fundamentals

    • Hand-hygiene 5 moments
    • Isolation precaution matching
    • Restraint documentation

    Community — KSA

    • Hajj-related infection control
    • MERS-CoV precautions
    • Vision 2030 health targets

    Paediatric

    • Immunisation schedule (KSA)
    • Febrile seizure management

How to Drill the SNLE Q&A Bank

    1. Start topic-wise, not random. Drill medical-surgical first (it is 30% of the paper), then pharmacology, then the remaining domains in weight order.
    2. Aim for 50 questions a day for six weeks. That covers the entire bank twice — the second pass is where retention actually forms.
    3. Read the explanation for every question, including the ones you got right. On the SNLE paper, distractors are often "almost right" — knowing why they are wrong is what earns the mark.
    4. Bookmark every question you get wrong. Two days before your date, review only the bookmarks. Candidates who do this consistently score 10–15 percentage points higher than candidates who repeat the whole bank.
    5. Once you sustain 75%+ topic-wise, switch to full-length timed mocks to build the 3-hour stamina a full paper demands.
